The motor is based on a 1980 911SC 3.0 Liter case. Displacement will be increased to 3.2 with the installation of a Mahle piston and cylinder kit. Pistons are 98mm 10:2 . 1 compression…slip ins. The web is full of 6 cylinder Porsche rebuild sites and videos…so I will just show the items that are different from a stock rebuild. I am using RaceWare rod bolts and nuts, RaceWare head studs and nuts. Assco Motorsports valve springs with Assco titanium retainers. A bypass filter is installed with delete of the engine oil cooler. Oil pump is upgraded to a late Carrera style. Amber engine shroud and fabricated cooling plates add to the 70″s look. I am currently fabricating a motor mount that will incorporate factory style mounts.
